REID HOFFMAN is an entrepreneur and investor. In 1998, Reid Hoffman was a founding Board member and executive vice president of PayPal. In 2003, he co-founded LinkedIn, the world’s largest professional networking service. The Start-up of You gives a rally cry to anyone looking to revamp their career or dive into the start-up ecosystem. With lots of great tips for using LinkedIn, as well as many useful anecdotes from real life experiences in Reid Hoffman's life, it offers a lot of inspiring and practical lessons to take away for real world implementation.
I have purchased to book to get more insight into personal branding, something what the title encouraged. I was a bit disappointed as the content was rather superficial, full of name-dropping of other CEO's from Silicon Valley but rather limited insight for the ordinary person. However, I found a couple of good hints in it.If you look for something how to operate your LinkedIn account this is the wrong book, but it is still a good, easy to read book for the airplane
